This is from around the same time. Not as geeky except for the tacky suit. My parents, it seemed, would dress me in anything. (I don't have to worry about them reading this... They're not on line.)
I might look nice and innocent, but I know a girl from back then who had pigtails braided from her long hair. And that to me (at the time anyhow) looked like the reigns on a horse. Naturally I grabbed them, and said Giddeyup, enthusiastically whipping them around. This, to other people, is interpreted as pulling hair, which is what I got in trouble for repeatedly. And she never, ever, forgave me. She brought it up in on-line conversation over 30 years later.
And she turned out to be very attractive too. Who would have known in second grade that girls would even matter later?
