A Rambling Guide

——————————

Or Basic Overview

——————————

Interesting things may be found on this small web site. Find out more about Robert in a Photo Autobiography section (which is always under construction, as in, being added on to). If you don't think that's your cup of cappuccino (maybe it is, maybe it isn't), then Robert's favorite Quotes, and information on web page updates are here, on their own page, too. Check out Robert's experience in Hurricane Fran in 1996. (Hurricane Floyd, which arrived here in 1999, didn't cause as many problems in this area as it did further east.) The hurricane pictures are really good---- several pages of them too. Although the North Carolina coast took a beating, Hurricane Isabel in 2003 caused little damage here.

Check out Robert's sometimes scathing, sometimes raving reviews of coffee shops in central and eastern North Carolina in his Còffeehouse Revïews page.

And no web site is complete without an interesting Links Page-- updated in 2002. On it you'll find links for all kinds of music, arts, local North Carolina stuff, and more.

See Robert's MySpace Blog for the latest hiking, radio and TV DXing, art happening (seen or part of).

Some Hiking and Biking pictures are available on Robert's other web page. Most of the hiking pictures are taken in Raven Rock state park near Lillington, NC. The bicycling pictures are mainly around Smithfield, NC. There were so many photographs that it needed its own web site.

See some of Robert's paintings and drawings at The Gallery web page. The paintings are mostly acrylic on canvas, but there are some mixed media works. A few are on wood or circuit boards instead of canvas. Robert typically paints moody, yet emotionally energized portraits.

Now available on-line... Robert's hearty chili recipe and his Southern-style cole slaw recipe The chili recipe can be used to create a hot or mild version. The creamy cole slaw (a cabbage salad, for those who are unfamiliar with slaw) has both a standard and a sugar-free version. The slaw can be served both as a side item or as a sandwich topping. Also here is our favorite recipe for sugar-free low-carb pumpkin custard. Eat dessert and lose weight! And also available here is our high-carb, with sugar recipe for chocolate chip cookies.

Robert was also maintaining the Sadlack's web page. It's about a place in Raleigh that's interesting to hang-out at. Lots of musicians, and a few artists, frequent the place. The page hasn't been updated in a while (--since 2000), but the Sadlack's Web Page is available at this new location.

This web site is dedicated in memory of... Find out who here.
